Athletic Development Lead Organisation RGS Newcastle Salary 28k (FTE), Pro Rata 23.6k with additional earning opportunities Location Newcastle upon Tyne Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 23 March 2026 Job Description Athletic Development LeadRequired from mid-August 2026 We have an exciting new opportunity for an Athletic Development Lead to join RGS Newcastle to play a pivotal role in shaping a high performance, holistic athletic environment.This brand-new position is responsible for designing and delivering evidence-based strength and conditioning programmes that support the long-term athletic development of students aged 7–18, enhancing performance across key school sports while promoting lifelong health and wellbeing. Working closely with coaches, teaching staff, medical professionals, and external performance pathways, the post holder will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of training, rehabilitation, and physical development initiatives.The successful postholder will inspire and motivate young athletes, ensure safe and effective training environments, and contribute to the wider PE and sport curriculum, acting as a positive role model and upholding the highest standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and pupil care.Candidates who feel they can contribute to our ethos, vision, and commitment to excellence in athletic development are warmly encouraged to apply.Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Term time only + 14 days.
