Job Description
Organisation: Caerus Sports Group Limited T/as ProChance Football Club

This is a voluntary, 1 year placement working up to 4 days per week including match days.
Location: University of Derby Sports Centre, Kedleston Road, Derby, DE22 1GB and various locations on match days
Closing date: 01 June 2026
Start date: Tuesday 01 September 2026

Role Purpose 
To support the delivery of elite-level performance analysis services to the First Team, working closely with coaching staff, and players. 

The role will contribute across all phases of the analysis cycle — including pre-match preparation, live match support, coding, post-match review, and training analysis — ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality insights that inform tactical and strategic decision-making and player development. 

Key Responsibilities 
Lead in the preparation and delivery of pre-match opposition analysis, including video and written reports aligned with ProChance Principles of Play
Contribute to the creation of team, unit, and individual review materials 
Film and/or live code matches 
Support the organisation and distribution of key clips at half-time and full-time 
Manage interns to ensure high quality capture and coding of training, and maintain a growing training catalogue 
Generate individual opposition player reports for coach and player use 
Maintain statistical databases 
Ensure all footage and data are accurately stored, tagged, and easily accessible
Use our data sources and providers for both individual and team analysis 

Work collaboratively with the Analysis department to: 
Deliver consistent analysis processes and standards 
Improve workflows and efficiencies within the department 
Work ad hoc to support the needs of the coaching department and club 
Provide support to academy analysis where required, ensuring alignment across the club
Assist in the mentoring or coordination of interns/work placements where applicable

 Knowledge, Skills & Experience 
Essential 
Undergraduate degree in performance analysis or related subject/could be currently studying or part way through an undergraduate degree
Strong tactical understanding of football and game principles 
Proficiency in industry-standard analysis software (e.g. Hudl Sportscode, Hudl Studio, WyScout and GPS software) 
Ability to make data-informed decisions 
High level of organisation and ability to work under time pressure 
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards and timekeeping
Experience working within an elite or professional football environment 
Desirable 
FA/UEFA coaching qualifications 
Personal Attributes 
Proactive and detail-oriented 
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team 
Adaptable within a fast-paced, high-performance environment 
Committed to continuous professional development 
Additional Information 
Attendance at all First Team fixtures (home and away) is required 
Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with the football calendar 
We are able to work around some current commitments but the successful candidate will prioritise ProChance activities to benefit us and you to the maximum
