Now, we’re looking for someone who shares those values to join our academy.This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, is hands-on, and wants to be part of something bigger –developing and supporting the Athletic development programme of our academy players.Role SummaryThe Lead Academy Strength & Conditioning Coach will be the first point of contact, whilst the Athletic Development Coach is required to plan, deliver & record the athletic & physical development sessions specific to U13’s & U14’s with relevance to peak height velocity & training loads to align with the club’s S&C curriculum.Your key responsibilities will include:To create & deliver sessions plans within the gym to enhance physical/athletic progression.To have a good understanding of PHV and how to practically adapt gym sessions to support individuals who are within PHV.To work collaboratively alongside other coaches to support session planning.To have sound knowledge & experience of working within a gym environment to maintain high levels of Health & Safety.To have proficient skills with IT & Microsoft whilst being able to learn and utilise new systems applied by by the club (Football Intelligence Platform & “Team Buildr”, My Concern).To be able to interpret Sports Science data (Physical Testing & PHV) to support creations of athlete’s development programs.To ensure safeguarding protocols and procedures are adhered to maintain clubs’ standards.To work closely with the Academy Lead S&C coach to provide updates on players development & feedback while also supporting Interns and their development.Your skills and experienceEssential Skills/ExperiencesLevel 3 Personal Trainer & Gym Instructor.BSc in Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning related discipline.Emergency First Aid in Football FA qualification (EFAiF)FA Safeguarding CertificateSatisfactory enhanced DBS (to be completed prior to employment)Have proficient English skills and a Right To Work in the UKUp to date and good knowledge of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Professional Sports Setting.Expertise in the use of basic IT packages that includes Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook & the ability to learn new systems that the club use.The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues across all departments and external organisations.Desirable Skills/ExperiencesExperience within an Academy Setting working with the Youth Development Phase.MSc in Sports or Strength & Conditioning related discipline.UKSCA Accreditation.General informationWe promote an equal, diverse, and inclusive workplace and weare committed to providing the best experience for our colleagues.
