Location
Central London, City of London
Contract type
Permanent (Full time)
Closing date

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the team at Podium Analytics to deliver tangible impact in the world of sport. You will be joining at a critical time when you have the opportunity to play an important role in establishing and shaping the organisation and its brand, marketing and communications activity, as well as develop your skills and experience as part of a growing team.

The Marketing and Communications team has a broad set of responsibilities and acts as an ‘internal agency’, supporting Podium-wide programmes of work. The role will provide the opportunity to own projects, taking work from strategic development, through to execution and management. The role offers a rare opportunity to bring varied, exciting, and often unique activities to life – unprecedented research, innovative technology use, athlete injury stories, purpose-driven partnerships, thought leadership events, behavioural change campaigns – and be involved in all aspects of brand, marketing, communications, design and events.

The role will report directly to the Head of Marketing and will work closely and collaboratively with the wider team and diverse external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and creative individual to support the delivery of our Marketing and Communications Strategy, with a particular focus on social media, content creation and digital communications. This role offers opportunities for growth across special projects, events, and campaigns.

A particular focus will be helping the team grow awareness of, and engagement with, our free injury and concussion management app for schools and clubs, SportSmart.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Social media management
- Deliver engaging social media content in line with the agreed strategy and brand tone.
- Schedule, publish and monitor posts across platforms.
- Track performance and contribute to reporting and insights.

Content production and management
- Collaborate with internal teams to write, edit and proof content across our channels, ensuring consistency of narrative and tone of voice.
- Plan, create and deliver multimedia content (video, photography, motion graphics, etc.) working with suppliers.
- Creating ad hoc and planned internal and external collateral (templates, presentations, guidelines, research reports etc.), working with external designers, suppliers, and partners as relevant.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all outputs and support with brand and design identity management, ensuring assets are used in the right way internally and externally, supporting the team and stakeholders with guidance.

Newsletter communications
- Write and schedule email campaigns and newsletters using our Customer Relationship Management tool, HubSpot.
- Segment audiences and tailor messaging to drive engagement.
- Analyse performance and suggest improvements.

Website management
- Maintain and update website content, using the website’s Content Management System.
- Work with our website developers to implement changes and improvements.
- Monitor site performance and user experience.

Growth and development opportunities
- Support on special marketing projects and brand campaigns.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events and activations.
- Explore new channels and tactics to enhance brand visibility.

THE CANDIDATE

The role is very hands-on, and the right candidate will thrive off working in an entrepreneurial, growing team, will be comfortable starting with a blank canvas (sometimes building activity and audiences from scratch) and will be excited by the opportunity to develop their skills across all aspects of brand, marketing and communications, bringing their own ideas to shape how things are done.

You will have experience in Marketing and/or Digital Communications creation and management, and will enjoy staying up to date with the latest trends, tools and techniques. You might also have brand management experience. As an important interface with both internal and external stakeholders, the intuitive ability to build effective relationships will be key. Excellent planning, high attention to detail, creative copywriting skills and a focus on high standards of delivery are all essential.

Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 2–3 years of industry experience in marketing, brand and/or social/digital communications.
- Excellent communication ability, both verbal/presentation and written.
- Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Experience in creation of creative multimedia content and/or digital marketing, individually or as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task across multiple work streams, with track record for meeting goals within set timeframes.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly and proactively within a small, high-performing team to deliver across a host of requirements.
- Microsoft Office applications knowledge.
- Analytical for performance monitoring (use of Excel and other tools to produce reports).

Desirable Criteria
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent alternative experience.
- Agency experience and/or experience delivering broad programmes of activity with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM systems and email marketing software to manage/engage contact databases.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) would be an advantage.
- Interest and passion for sport.
