Deliver essential administrative support, coordinate international trip logistics, and help run a seamless day-to-day operation at our High Performance Centre.

Paddle UK is looking for an organised, proactive, and collaborative Programme Co-ordinator to join our Performance team. Working closely alongside the Slalom Team Manager and Slalom Operations Lead, you will play a central role in keeping our High Performance Centre running smoothly.

Your focus will be providing vital administrative support to coaches and athletes, coordinating logistics for international trips, managing facility upkeep, and maintaining equipment inventories. If you enjoy multi-tasking, solving problems, and being a key point of contact on the ground in an elite sports environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to support our slalom programme.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Answer telephone enquiries, manage athlete/staff data (passport details, letters, database extracts), and assist with water bookings for individual athletes.
Trip Logistics: Assist with international travel planning, including flight group check-ins, taxi bookings, and assembling travel and medical packs.
Kit & Equipment Management: Handle kit distribution, sizes, and returns. Maintain storage areas, equipment lists, stock inventories, and arrange stock purchases for a hygienic facility.
Facility Operations: Assist with maintaining the building, compound, and workshop, liaising with external contractors/suppliers for repairs, and keeping meeting rooms supplied.
International Entries: Enter athletes and officials onto the International Canoe Federation database for competitions.
Health & Safety & Team Cover: Help implement visible H&S policies and act as the main on-the-ground contact for staff, athletes, and stakeholders when line managers are travelling or on leave.

Why Join Us?

This is a rewarding role at the heart of our high-performance team, supporting athletes and coaches on their international journey. You will join a team that values:

Dynamic Team Environment: Being a core team player within the wider Performance department, directly supporting high-level athletic excellence.
Varied Operational Scope: A role where no two days are the same, balancing logistics, facility administration, and athlete support.
Positive Workplace Culture: A supportive environment committed to equality, safeguarding, and continuous learning.

About You

We are looking for an approachable, well-organised multi-tasker with excellent problem-solving skills and a "can do" attitude. You will possess:

Organisational & Administrative Skills: Strong planning abilities with proven experience managing workloads, databases, and spreadsheets effectively.
Communication & Relationships: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build great relationships across internal teams, athletes, and external partners.
IT Literacy: Proficiency across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and calendar management, and the Google for Business platform.
Initiative & Flexibility: Ability to work on your own initiative, solve problems creatively, and adapt working hours during busy travel or event periods.

Paddle UK is the governing body for Paddlesports. We have had many advances in our sport and paddling now covers a wide range of interests and passions as a sport and a leisure activity for all. We want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of paddling regardless of their age, background or ability.

We recognise the contribution our employees make and think these benefits reflect our appreciation:

25 days annual leave (pro-rata for part-time), plus bank holidays
Dress for your day (jeans acceptable)
Free onsite parking and bike storage
Company pension scheme
Employee benefits platform (including Bike to Work, Health and Wellbeing and discounts)
