Ignite a passion for the water, craft compelling stories, and inspire the next generation of paddlers across the UK.

Are you a creative digital content producer who knows how to turn a good idea into a reel, a campaign asset, a web story or a social post that people actually want to engage with?

Paddle UK is looking for a creative and proactive Content and Campaign Officer to help bring our marketing and communications activity to life across social, digital, web, email and campaign channels. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating content at pace - from filming and editing short-form video, reels and photography, to writing clear, engaging copy for websites, newsletters, campaigns and social media. Working across the MarComms team, you’ll help promote paddling, support key campaigns, celebrate our community and create content that inspires more people to get on the water.

Key Responsibilities

Digital and social content creation: Create engaging content for Paddle UK’s digital and social channels, including Go Paddling. This content will include reels, short-form video, graphics, photography, captions, web stories, campaign assets and email content.
Video and multimedia production: Storyboard, film and edit content that captures the breadth of paddling and Paddle UK activity, producing assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other channels.
Campaign content support: Support the planning and delivery of content for key Paddle UK campaigns, including Go Paddling, Places to Paddle, Big Paddle Clean Up, safety, membership and wider organisational priorities.
Website and email content: Write, edit and upload clear, accurate and audience-focused website content, and design, schedule and deliver email newsletters.
Storytelling: Develop content that celebrates paddlers, clubs, volunteers, partners and communities, helping to show the impact, value and joy of paddling.
Campaign assets and toolkits: Create social media assets, web content, partner materials and campaign resources that help promote Paddle UK activity across multiple channels.
Insight and optimisation: Use audience insight, SEO principles and channel performance to understand what is working and help improve future content.
MarComms support: Work across the wider marketing and communications team to support corporate communications, stakeholder communications, campaigns, events and media activity.

Why Join Us?
This is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic person looking to make a visible, creative impact within a national governing body. You will join a team that values:

Meaningful Change: A culture where your creativity directly inspires healthier lifestyles and shapes how people safely enjoy the UK's waterways.
Collaborative Success: A vibrant environment working alongside digital experts, creative agencies, and passionate partner organisations to amplify our message.
Strategic Impact: The freedom to run high-profile campaigns and see the direct, measurable impact of your work on our growing community.

About You

We are looking for a collaborative team player with a sharp eye for detail, a gift for writing, and a passion for digital trends. This role is perfect for you if you possess:

Digital & Creative Skills: Experience in a digital or communications role, with hands-on skills in photography and videography, and using WordPress, email platforms, and creative tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
Outstanding Communication: Exceptional written skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to influence colleagues and stakeholders.
Organisational Mastery: Highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
An Insight-Driven Mindset: Comfort working with website analytics and email reporting tools to evaluate campaign success and inform future activity.
Qualifications & Sector Interest: A degree (or equivalent) in marketing or communications is required. A background or interest in recreational paddling, photography, or videography is highly desirable.
Inclusive Values: A strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the workplace and paddling community.
