Tennis Intern Organisation Millfield School Salary £12.21 per hour Location Glastonbury, Somerset Contract type Paid Internship (Full time) Closing date 11 July 2025 Job Description Millfield Prep School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Tennis Intern for the 2025–2026 academic year to support our outstanding tennis programme and contribute more widely to school life, including PE, co-curricular activities, and boarding.Millfield Prep, located in Glastonbury, Somerset, is one of the UK’s leading prep schools, with exceptional sporting and educational opportunities for pupils aged 2–13. Tennis is a major part of our co-curricular programme, with around 150 pupils involved across all ages and abilities. Our aim is to develop capable, resilient young athletes with strong technical foundations and a lifelong enjoyment of the sport.We are looking for a confident and reliable individual with a minimum LTA Level 1 or 2 coaching qualification, who has experience leading Mini Tennis sessions, coaching individual and group lessons, and supporting tournaments and fixtures. The successful candidate will be involved in running training sessions, supporting the IAPS Tennis Tournament (held during holidays), and assisting with the organisation of school fixtures and competitions.This position runs for the full academic year, from September through June, with breaks aligned with school holidays. There may be on-site accommodation available as part of the role. The salary package is as follows: With accommodation: £14,128.41 per annum Without accommodation: £17,809.51 per annum (inclusive of statutory holiday pay). In addition, the role includes a contribution towards professional development, such as coaching courses or other relevant training opportunities.The Tennis Intern will work an average of 39 hours per week during term time and will also gain experience in wider school life, including opportunities in boarding, PE, or academic departments.
