Job Description
Working Pattern: Full-Time 37.5 hours a week including evening and
occasional weekend work
Contract Type: Fixed Term - March 2027 with the potential of extension
Salary: £26,277.50
Location: Southlands Centre

Job Outline:
Working as part of the Social Inclusion Team, the role will deliver on Middlesbrough
Football Club Foundation’s Switch It Project which is funded by Middlesbrough
Council.

The delivery will focus on high-quality, engaging and supportive one-to-one
mentoring as well as small group workshops based on identified themes such as
Mental Health, Wellbeing and Knife Crime.

The role will also support the delivery of the Premier League Kicks Programme.
At Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation, we are committed to living and
embedding our core values (quality, inspire, teamwork, inclusion and honesty
and integrity), in how we deliver our activity and interact with our partners and
colleagues.

Role Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Plan, prepare and deliver a range of targeted interventions to children and
young people who are referred to our Switch It Project. These sessions
predominately take place within school settings
• Build positive, trusted relationships with young people through implementing
early and responsive intervention based on individual needs, following their
interests and personal strengths
• Be a positive role model for children and young people and provide nonjudgemental support and respecting diversity and lifestyle choices
• Work with other multi-agency organisations to provide wrap-around support for
the young person and their family
• Create and sustain partnerships with local schools and organisations to provide
suitable exit strategies for participants – encourage young people to become
involved in community-based activities.
• Support and encourage children and young people (of your caseload) to access
Premier League Kicks on an evening
• Support with the delivery of other programmes/sessions across Middlesbrough
Football Club Foundation which includes some evening and weekend work.
Examples include Premier League Kicks, Match Day and Holiday Camps
• Undertake administrative tasks and communicate with different stakeholders
• Support with the data collection with guidance from your Line Manager and
the Data and Impact Coordinator
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion,
including adapting resources and engagements to ensure equal opportunities
for all
• Adhere to health and safety requirements with support of your Line Manager
and the Health and Safety Manager
• Be committed to safeguarding and working with Safeguarding Ambassadors
and the Designated Safeguarding Officer
• Promote the vision, mission and core values of Middlesbrough Football Club
