The Role: The purpose of this role is to lead a designated player group within the Academy, delivering the holistic development of high-potential players in line with the club’s Academy curriculum. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), the coach will promote the club’s playing philosophy and report directly to the Head of Academy Developement & Football Methodology.Key Responsibilities Lead a designated player group within the AcademyPlan and deliver the holistic development of high-potential players in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT)Implement the Manchester United Academy curriculum, promoting the club’s playing philosophy and styleWork closely with coaches across different age phases and departments to enhance Academy practices and curriculumSupport the recruitment team in identifying emerging talent and potential signingsEngage with key stakeholders, including parents, to design, deliver, and continuously review individual development plansFoster a positive yet challenging learning environment that promotes player growth and excellence The Person: Key Skills & Experience Proven ability to deliver high-quality, on-grass football coaching sessions that stretch and challenge high-potential playersHighly motivated, forward-thinking coach with experience developing players in elite football environmentsStrong understanding and insight into the development pathways of Premier League and international-level playersHold a UEFA A License and the FA Advanced Youth Award (or currently working towards)Excellent communicator and effective team player, capable of thriving in an elite development settingCompetent in IT, with experience using SportsCode and Angles analysis softwareHold current Enhanced DBS clearance, along with valid FA Safeguarding and Emergency Aid certificationsPossess a full UK driving licenceDesirable:Degree in Sports Science or a related disciplineOur Values:Badge – Earn the badge, every day.
