First Team – Sports Therapist Organisation London Bees FC Salary N/A Location The Hive London, Camrose Avenue, Edgware, HA8 6AG Contract type Volunteer (Part time) Closing date 10 July 2026 Interview date 31 August 2026 Job Description London Bees Football Club is currently seeking a Women’s Team Sports Therapist to deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes across the First Team and any Reserve Team(s).Hours:Tuesday and Thursday evening training sessions: 7pm to 10pmSunday matches Key Responsibilities• Provide pitch-side sports therapy cover for all training sessions and matches, delivering immediate assessment and treatment of injuries.• Assist with the delivery of gym- and field-based rehabilitation programmes, supporting players' return to training and competition.• Conduct accurate injury assessments, deliver appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans, and maintain comprehensive medical records.• Provide regular updates to the coaching staff on player progress, rehabilitation status, and availability for training and matches.• Ensure injury assessments are completed in line with club policies and that all staff adhere to current head injury and concussion management protocols.• Monitor player workload, recovery, and wellbeing to support performance and reduce injury risk.• Maintain accurate and confidential player medical profiles and treatment records.• Work collaboratively with the wider Strength & Conditioning and medical team to deliver a holistic approach to player performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.• Promote best practice in injury prevention through player education, screening, and exercise prescription.• Comply with all club policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and Health & Safety.Skills & ExperienceEssential• Degree in Sports Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).• Membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. The Society of Sports Therapists or Sports Therapy Association) with appropriate professional indemnity insurance.• Experience conducting musculoskeletal assessments and delivering evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with players and staff.• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary performance and medical team.Desirable• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and match days.• FA Intermediate First Aid for Sport (IFAiS) or FA Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) qualification (or willingness to obtain).• Experience working within elite or semi-professional football.• Experience working with female athletes in a high-performance environment.• Knowledge of athlete monitoring systems and injury prevention strategies.Equality & DiversityLondon Bees FC is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in employment and its employment policies for recruitment, selection, training, development and promotion are designed to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, ethnic and national origin, disability or gender.
