Job Description
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is currently seeking a Site Logistics Manager to coordinate and manage the build, tournament time and de-rig for the Lexus Eastbourne Open hosted at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne. The event is part of the LTA’s grass court season, consisting of three tournaments; the WTA 250 (Women’s Tennis Association); ATP 250 (Association of Tennis Professionals) and ITF Wheelchair tournaments. This event has been run at the current location for more than 51 years and receives approximately 49,000 spectators each year. The Lexus Eastbourne Open has become a major source of inspiration for tennis lovers, a testing ground for athletes, and a badge of pride for the host town, Eastbourne.

The Site Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery, storage and distribution of a variety of equipment and goods during the build, de-rig and tournament period. The role requires close collaboration with the LTA Event Manager, the Health & Safety (H&S) Management Team appointed by the LTA and the Eastbourne Borough Council (EBC) Events Team as the venue owners.

EBC also employs temporary event crew who will provide manual labour support as directed by the Site Logistics Manager. This role will also include working alongside the Grounds team regarding the correct set up and provisions of the practice courts & match courts.

The role will include pre planning days including face to face meetings with the Event Management Team (approx. 3 days), all days on site during the build and de-rig (approximately 23 days) plus Tournament time (8 days).
