Glasgow Life is looking for a Sport & Physical Activity Development Officer to join us on 35 hours (full time), (permanent) contract. As a Sport & Physical Activity Development Officer you will be joining our in-demand Community Cohesion Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports the development & delivery of programmes across Glasgow Sport

The role
As a Sport & PA Development Officer you’ll be an integral part of the team by ensuring the provision reflects the values and objectives of the organisation. Reporting to Senior Health & Wellbeing Development Officer and working alongside an established team.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Sport & Physical Activity Development Officer, you’ll need:
• Professional qualification in sport, play, physical activity, health, education or community development, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in development, delivery & management of sports, health & wellbeing programmes
• Evidence of delivering results in relation to targets in the field of sports development & Physical Activity
• Evidence of working with clubs and community groups
• Experience of working with voluntary and third sector organisations
• Experience of supervision and/or developing the skills and capacity of others involved in delivery of programmes

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations.
We offer hybrid working for some roles, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you, if suitable. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
Our Emirates Arena Office has great links to public transport/free parking.
This role is working 35 Hours Mon-Fri (9-5), with occasional evening & weekend working.
