Job Description
GB Taekwondo (GBT) is a High-Performance Company, established in 2002 to develop a Taekwondo ‘World Class Programme (WCP)’, designed to realise the potential of the nation’s most promising Taekwondo athletes in major international competition including at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Over the last 20 years the organisation has established a world leading Taekwondo combat pathway, that has supported athletes to achieve 10 Olympic and 4 Paralympic medals.

GBT is looking to recruit a Compliance Coordinator that will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation follows internal policies and processes, meets statutory obligations, adheres with the Code for Sports Governance, and upholds ethical standards. The postholder will report to the Director of Finance and Governance and act as a trusted liaison with managers and the staff team.

The role has a broad scope covering:
- People (maintaining staff data and records; supporting recruitment; managing leave systems; coordinating induction, conflict of interest, diversity and inclusion monitoring and compulsory training)
- Governance (maintaining the governance tracker; monitoring legislative and regulatory changes; coordinating the implementation and review of policy; facilitating risk management; Managing document storage in line with GDPR; preparing governance statements and reports)
- Safeguarding and Welfare (coordinating DBS checks and the implementation of the safeguarding policy; monitoring and communicating safeguarding best practise across the team).

The role underpins the effective performance of the organisation and GBT teams competing on the world stage and will work with the Director of Finance and Governance, Senior Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee and Board to embed a positive performance culture of continuous governance improvement, transparency and accountability.
