Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Essex County FA’s Development Team as a Coaching Development Officer, playing a key role in supporting local male, female and disability participation pathways.

The new officer will lead the growth and sustainability of high-quality coach development opportunities within England Football Accredited Clubs and work closely with Essex’s network of youth leagues. They’ll design and deliver people-centred programmes aligned with the FA Learning Coach Development Framework, and applications are welcome until Monday 6th October.

The successful candidate will be based at the County FA’s Chelmsford Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model. This is a pivotal role at a time when the County FA are delivering one of the most ambitious Coach Development Programmes in grassroots football. Each season, over 2,000 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities are made available to coaches through workshops, online sessions and showcase events. Key responsibilities will include:

o leading and managing delivery of the Essex County FA Coach Development Programme
o producing and delivering an annual coach development plan to support over 2,000 CPD opportunities
o working with participation pathway leads to create tailored opportunities across male, female and disability football
o developing and managing a team of casual Coach Developers

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a UEFA ‘B’ Licence, knowledge of The FA coaching qualification framework and experience of supporting grassroots coaches and delivering adult learning. They’ll require strong project management and communication skills and will possess a passion for coaching and developing people from a variety of backgrounds.
