Employees benefit from a collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional development.The successful candidate will be responsible for working across all areas of the Club as part of a centralised team, building strong relationships with colleagues to understand business needs, gather requirements and provide expert data advice, partner with departments to integrate data from internal and third-party systems, automate manual processes, and develop Power BI reports and dashboards.The role will require ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and accessible through a single source of truth, and converting complex information into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the Club.Key Role Responsibilities:• Operate as the central source of information and insights, ensuring our BI & platforms support the operational and strategic needs of the Club.• Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models, ensuring users have access to accurate, timely and meaningful insights primarily using the Power BI/Azure Ecosystem.• Build strong working relationships with departments across the Club (including Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Football Administration and Academy Operations) to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, data quality and user adoption.• Develop and maintain automated workflows and integrations using technologies such as Power Automate, Azure, APIs, Postman, Python, R, M, DAX, JSON and other appropriate tools to improve operational efficiency, improve data quality and accessibility to reduce manual workloads and enable effective decision-making.• Develop, maintain and promote standards for data governance, documentation, system configuration and integrations, ensuring data remains accurate, secure and fit for purpose.• Perform routine system audits, data quality reviews, duplicate management and platform health assessments to ensure long-term system reliability.• Provide advice, training and ongoing support to colleagues, promoting best practice and increasing the effective use of Business Intelligence tools and data across the Club• To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.Personal characteristics and experience:• Minimum 2 years of a data analysis (or similar) role; specifically working with Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, On-Premises gateway and the wider 365 Ecosystem.• Minimum 2 years of technical & analytical skills within multiple overlapping systems (a CRM or similar environment).• Working within a professional sports (or comparable) environment (desirable).• Deployment of Power BI Dashboards/Reports/Goals to associated services such as Microsoft Teams.• Experience of using at least 3 of: Power Automate, Power Query, DAX, Python, R, Streamlit and Pandas.• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and report lifecycle management.• Good general statistical skills and knowledge of statistical techniques such as clustering and regression modelling (desirable).• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information, findings and reports clearly and confidently to a range of audiences, both internally and externally. • Ability to organise, schedule and adapt work tasks to meet conflicting deadlines and respond to changing situations.• Excellent problem-solving skills.• Work using own initiative and as part of a team• Excellent attention to detail.Qualifications:Essential• Degree or equivalent level qualification in a mathematical/data-related subject.Desirable• Official qualifications in data services (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Azure).• GDPR Qualification (Or Modular).Salary is competitive, dependent on experience.The role is based across Pride Park Stadium and Moor Farm Training Ground, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
