Women and Girls Lead Organisation Cricket Wales Salary £38,000 - £44,000 depending on experience Location Sophia Gardens, Cardiff (remote or hybrid working considered) Contract type Closing date 10 October 2025 Interview date 26 October 2025 Job Description Driving Women & Girls’ Participation Growth• Lead the implementation of Cricket Wales’ Women & Girls’ Cricket Strategy, ensuring growth at all levels of the game.• Work with clubs, leagues, and schools to increase participation opportunities and remove barriers to entry.• Support and develop female-focused programs, such as softball and hardball cricket formats, to encourage long-term engagement.Developing Leaders & Role Models• Identify, mentor, and develop female coaches, umpires, and administrators to create a strong leadership pathway.• Lead on coach and volunteer development programs specific to women and girls’ cricket.• Work with existing and emerging female role models to inspire the next generation of players and leaders.Creating a Welcoming & Inclusive Culture• Collaborate with clubs and leagues to ensure female-friendly environments are established and maintained.• Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion principles to drive positive culture change in cricket communities.• Engage with female participants to understand their needs and develop initiatives that enhance their cricketing experience.Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement• Work closely with national and regional partners, including ECB and Sport Wales, to align strategies and secure funding for women and girls’ development.• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, universities, and community organisations.• Ensure that Cricket Wales remains at the forefront of best practices in women and girls’ sport development.People & Performance Management• Line manage the Women & Girls Development Officers, providing support, guidance, and performance oversight.• Set clear objectives and monitor the impact of initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.• Work collaboratively with the wider Cricket Wales team to align development efforts across all participation pathways.Required Skills and Experience• Proven experience in sports development, ideally within a women and girls’ participation context.• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and support a team.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders.• Strategic thinker with the ability to implement participation growth initiatives effectively.• Understanding of barriers to female participation in sport and the ability to develop solutions.• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
