Come and be part of our story!The RoleThe Youth Engagement Manager will be responsible for a team of staff who deliver diverse projects within the Youth Engagement team at Burnley FC in the Community. Some of the projects included in this portfolio include our Premier League Kicks programme, Limitless Clarets Disability Project and our Detached Youth Work offer across Burnley, Pendle and East Lancashire.To be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the programmes, leading a dedicated team and supporting the wider Burnley FC in the Community team.Roles and Responsibilities• To deliver and co-ordinate high-quality sessions that engage, enthuse and progress young people through a range of programmes including Premier League Kicks, Limitless Clarets and Detached Youth Work.• To support the development and delivery of high-quality, impactful sport and youth engagement sessions in areas of high need across Burnley and Pendle and the wider East Lancashire area. • To lead and develop team members on a range of projects including full-time and part-time employees on all programmes.• To provide a hands-on approach to people management including undertaking regular 1:1s, team meetings and performance/sickness reviews.• To create and present relevant reports to funders and the senior management team and meet project objectives.• To engage, inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential. • To target areas of greatest need, working closely with senior management and key statutory and charity organisations in the Burnley and Pendle area to offer a co-ordinated response.• To work closely with Lancashire Police and associated partners in target areas.• To represent Burnley FC in the Community on multi-agency meetings, networks and panels.• To visit sessions across various venues and locations to quality assure and monitor value.• To manage and develop our dynamic Youth Board, ensuring regular meetings and activities are held. • Organise and fulfil a number of fixtures and competitions, both locally and regionally, to ensure Burnley FC in the Community representation at Premier League Kicks events.• Assist the Senior Management Team to secure external funding through a range of sources, including writing funding applications to other charities and agencies.• Plan and deliver a range of lifestyle workshops for project participants, covering a range of issues including employability prospects, life skills, health awareness, positive mental health, equality and diversity, and weapons awareness.• Promote projects in schools and in community settings across Burnley, Pendle and East Lancashire to ensure a diverse range of participants attend sessions, and that projects achieve their Key Performance Indicators. • Consider equality, diversity and inclusion in all activities linked to projects with a particular focus around female participation, LGBTQ young people, disability, and engaging with ethnically diverse communities. • Coordinate the social action element of all programmes, ensuring participants are provided with an opportunity to support their local community.• Support the monitoring and evaluation process of the scheme and compile evidence on the progress of Kicks in order to report to key funders, the Premier League Charitable Fund, as and when required. • Ensure all activities are correctly monitored with the appropriate risk assessments, safeguarding and health and safety procedures put in place. • To work towards and manage all agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required by the Premier League Charitable Fund and other providers.• To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.• Comply with all Charity policies.• Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.• Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organisation as and when required to promote best practice.• To understand and implement the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role.
