Sports Complex Duty Manager Organisation Bradfield College Salary £13.10 per hour (FTE £27,330 per annum) Location Bradfield, Reading Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 14 July 2025 Job Description The role Bradfield College is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Duty Manager to oversee the daily operation of our outstanding Sports Complex and Indoor Tennis Centre. With a strong reputation as one of the country’s leading co-educational independent schools, Bradfield College offers impressive dual-use sports facilities that serve both the College community and external users.Our Duty Managers are expected to be more than just ‘shift leaders’. You will provide pivotal support to the Operations Manager in developing and implementing procedures relating to quality and health and safety. You will be responsible for leading a team of Recreation Assistants and Lifeguards, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors. Your role will also involve staff training, performance monitoring, and management of specific administrative tasks.You will form part of the duty shift rota, which covers the entirety of the opening hours of the complex, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. You will possess strong communication and management skills, along with an understanding of the day-to-day operations of a sports and leisure facility (dryside and wetside). Experience in shift management, customer service, health and safety protocols, lifeguarding, line management and training is also essential.
