Contract type Closing date 29 May 2026 Job Description Title: First Team Strength & Conditioning Work Placement Department: First Team Performance Department Based at: Senior Training Centre, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn BB6 8FA. Reports to: Head of Performance Placement length: 11 month work placement for the 2026/2027 football season (25th June 2026 – 31st May 2027). Placement purpose: To assist and learn the day to day tasks of the sports science department to all academy players. Experience and development opportunities: • To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all stakeholders, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries; • To assist in the Strength & Conditioning programs delivered to all players; • To complete tasks included in the staff development programme and take part and contribute to the department CPD curriculum; • To assist in gym and pitch based delivery to individuals and groups; and • To assist with any duties required by the First Team Performance Department. Skills and knowledge required: • IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel; • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders; • Ability to perform group and individual presentations; • Able to utilise and understand data metrics; and • Knowledge of industry related software such as VALD and STATSports. Qualifications required: To be working towards a sports science/strength and conditioning related degree at MSc level.
