Job Description
Job title: Team Operations Manager

Department: Senior Training Centre Operations

Based at: Senior Training Centre, Brockhall Village, Blackburn, BB6 8FA. Flexibility on location may be required.

Reports to: Head of Football Operations

Responsible for: N/A

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week including home and away matchdays plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. This will include regular evening and weekend work.

Contractual status: Permanent

Job purpose: To be responsible for all logistical administration at the Senior Training Centre for all senior training centre staff including coaches and players.

Duties and responsibilities:
• To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all stakeholders, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
• Responsible for the management and clear communication of team schedules, changes and updates, utilizing robust communication platforms such as Teamwork’s communications App.
• Responsible for the preparation and execution of match day logistics.
• To provide daily updates for the FA Doping Whereabouts System – player doping, checks and training changes for the First Team.
• Source, reserve, and contract suitable hotels, ground transportation and flights for the First Team travel and accommodation for home and away matches as well as any tours and training camps.
• Ensure all First Team players and staff have the relevant entry requirements for any club travel including visas and valid passports.
• Responsible for the logging, collating and distribution of First Team
complimentary tickets.
• To be the Club contact for home and away fixtures and to travel with the team to away matches.
• Plan, execute and conduct site visits and risk assessments for prospective locations/venues, both UK and overseas, for away games and training camps as required.
• Ensuring successful adherence to matchday protocols in line with competition rules.
• Provide operational administrative support as required.
• Support the Head of Football Operations with budget management
• Squad training incident reporting and management.
• To assist the Media & Communications Department with coordination of player interviews, television appearances and attending of press conferences on matchdays.

Skills required:
• Excellent IT and administration skills
• Great verbal and written communication
• Excellent organisation and a good eye for detail
• Works well under pressure
• Is able to problem-solve and work independently
• Must have integrity and confidentiality when handling personal information
• Deal with correspondence promptly
• Flexible to the needs of the business
• Good financial acumen with experience managing budgets

Knowledge / Experience required:
• Sound understanding of IT and computer software
• Full understanding of the football regulations and rules (e.g. the FA, the EFL);
• Proven track record of working within an elite sporting environment;

Qualifications required:
• Relevant qualification or experience working within an operations role; and
• Proven track record of working within an elite sporting environment.

DBS check required: Yes (enhanced)
