Job Description
An Exciting Leadership Opportunity with Berks & Bucks FA!

Berks & Bucks FA is at the beginning of an exciting new chapter as we take our first steps into running and managing community-based football centres. We are proud that we are going to running Cantley Park, developing it into a thriving, inclusive hub for grassroots football, sport, and the local community.

We are seeking committed, motivated, and organised Duty Managers to lead the day-to-day operations at Cantley Park and play a key role in building a welcoming, safe, and high-quality environment for all visitors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us from the start of this exciting project and help shape a facility that becomes the heart of the local community.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager, you will:
Lead on the day-to-day management and safe running of the facility.
Supervise and support Senior Leisure Assistants, Leisure Assistants, and other site staff.
Be responsible for opening and closing the site, managing schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Oversee site operations including pitch preparation, equipment maintenance, and café operations.
Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, and risk management standards are implemented and maintained.
Act as the on-site lead for emergencies, customer issues, and any operational challenges.
Be an ambassador for the facility, supporting Berks & Bucks FA’s mission to create inclusive, accessible community spaces.

What We’re Looking For
Experience in a supervisory or management role within sport, leisure, hospitality, or facilities.
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and respond to operational demands.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
A commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.
