Job Title: Performance Coordinator

Office Location: National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes

Salary: £23,000

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Permanent

Badminton England is the national governing body for badminton in England. With over a million people playing regularly, badminton is the nation’s most played racket sport and the sixth biggest sport in this country overall.

As our sport continues to grow, so does our ambition. We’re two years into an ambitious, long-term strategy and our performance setup is beginning a progressive chapter with the intention of challenging for medals in the Olympics and Paralympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

We do what matters; we are courageous and honest, always putting the best interests of badminton first.
We include intentionally; we create safe and connected environments that welcome open and diverse views.
We play for each other; we listen, respond to feedback and celebrate the successes of our sport and communities.
We always aim to do today brilliantly; we innovate and constantly challenge the status quo through collaboration, active listening and encouragement of others.
This role joins us at a exciting period for our performance setup, as we look to take a transformative stride in our efforts to empower our athletes to get the very best out of themselves. We want to develop a system and environment that enables players to maximise their potential and perform at the highest level.

With this structure and environment, we are confident that we can become a top 10 nation in the world for badminton and represent in all 5 disciplines at the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics. This role will be critical in supporting the delivery of outstanding experiences, providing administrative support to the performance function, with a particular emphasis on administration and operations and logistics.

This role will be based at the heart of the High Performance environment itself - the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes - an inspiring environment that is home to athletes, our offices, public gyms, hotel and café.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join the Performance Team and become a part of our vision. The role operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and will play a key part in supporting the operations of delivering the programme to our athletes, coaches and multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities will include:

Coordination of tournament entries
- Support team squad entries to international tournaments in liaison with the National Coaching team

Coordination of Tournaments and Championships arrangements

Provide support to the Badminton England Performance Operations
- Collating information for meetings

- Tracking player results for selection/review meetings

Performance Co-ordination / Administration:

- Coordinate logistical organisations of training camps for the England Performance and England Junior Programme

Budget Management
- Manage timely authorisation of invoices and POs when required

- Support in tracking costs throughout the programmes

- Support in processing monthly credit card reconciliation

Team Communications
- Manage the use of Hive and keep communications updated for England Junior Programme players, families and coaches

- Ensure the relevant pages on the website are up to date

Performance Programme Support
- Support in tracking and maintaining player results for review and selection meetings

- Support in data collection

- Assist in the implementation of UKAD Education Strategy

- Support in managing the team kit distribution
