Job Description: Atlantic Racquet Centre (ARC) are looking for an ambitious Tennis Coach to join our team of skilled and enthusiastic coaches and to contribute to the delivery of wide ranging weekly programme of sessions.

ARC is a growing community racquet & fitness centre and charity where everyone can exercise, socialise and learn together. The centre currently boasts over 1400 members regularly accessing our 6 outdoor & 4 indoor Tennis courts, 4 badminton courts, table tennis tables, 2 Squash courts and large Functional Fitness gym. Our successful Tennis programme caters for around 300 participants a week across all ages and abilities and has recently achieved LTA Youth Recognised Venue status.

The successful applicant will be answerable to our Head Tennis Coaches and will deliver a wide range of on court sessions to both children and adults including LTA Youth Sessions at both development & performance level, Tennis Xpress, Adult Improver/Intermediate, Cardio Tennis, Disability Tennis, and schools programme coaching.

The ideal candidate will be a Level 2 or 3 LTA qualified coach with current in date LTA Accreditation. They will be enthusiastic and passionate about developing and retaining players in Tennis and will have experience in doing so at other clubs/centres. They will be committed to continual professional development as a coach and will be able to provide evidence of this.

The advertised role is split into two parts as follows:

(1) – A permanent employed contract for 15 hours of weekly coaching

(2) – A fixed term employed contract for 15 hours of weekly coaching covering a maternity leave.

There will be ample opportunity for cover work to increase earnings as well as good potential to grow the role in future. Likewise, becoming an ARC approved coach will also afford the successful applicant the opportunity to offer individual lessons at the centre also on a self-employed basis to further supplement their income.

The essential requirements of the successful candidate:

• Level 2 or 3 LTA Accredited Tennis Coach or higher
• Experience of working in a busy tennis coaching programme and retaining players
• Experience of delivering a wide range of sessions to a variety of ages & abilities, or a desire to develop their skills to do so.
• A great team player who enjoys being part of a vibrant team of coaches.
• A strong communicator able to manage player, parent and coach relationships
• Safeguarding Level 1

PART 1: ARC Club Coach (Permanent)
