14 ambitious, talented individuals from across the UK’s sport system have been selected for UK Sport’s flagship International Leadership Programme (ILP). Jining an alumni network of 100+ leaders, this latest group will develop their knowledge, expertise, skills and relationships to operate effectively in - and make a tangible and positive impact on- the development and governance of international sport.
Comprising of senior administrators, current and retired athletes, and leaders within NGBs, the group will take part in a year-long programme of tailored modules covering major themes including the international sporting landscape, building powerful relationships, negotiating and influencing techniques, cross-cultural working, sport governance and communicating effectively with international audiences.

The ILP forms part of UK Sport’s strategy of ensuring the UK has a strong, respected and supportive voice in international sport, by developing the knowledge, expertise and skills of representatives from National Governing Bodies (NGBs) in the UK and other national partners to operate and succeed in international sports organisations.
