Job Description: Summary of Job Purpose:
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is seeking an ambitious and relationship-focused Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to lead the development and delivery of a sustainable income generation strategy.
The role will focus on securing and growing corporate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, donations, and community support that enable the Foundation to deliver its mission of providing more opportunities for all.
This is a key strategic position, responsible for building long-term relationships with businesses, trusts, foundations across Worcestershire and Dudley. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping the Foundation expand its impact and reach more people through inclusive cricket and community programmes.
Role Description & Person Specification
Strategy & Income Generation
· Develop and implement a sustainable fundraising strategy aligned with the Foundation's strategic objectives.
· Identify and secure new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, public sector, CSR partnerships and grant-making organisations.
· Build relationships with associated fundraising partners to broaden the reach and impact of the work of the Foundation.
· Secure both restricted and unrestricted income streams to support programme delivery and organisational growth.
· Explore opportunities for community investment, donations and in-kind support.
· Maximise fundraising through new and innovative methods including campaigns for donations, charity of the year partnerships, legacy giving, major donors, employee volunteering and payroll giving.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Management

• Identify, research, and grow potential corporate and commercial partners.
• Build, manage, and grow relationships with businesses, sponsors, funders, and donors.
• Act as the primary contact for corporate partners, ensuring partnership benefits are delivered effectively.
• Develop partnership packages and opportunities that deliver mutual value.
• Work closely with the following stakeholders to maximise opportunities:
- England & Wales Cricket Board
- Worcestershire County Cricket Club
- Local Authorities
- Integrated Care System
- Businesses
- Universities
- Schools
- Community organisations
- Charitable Trusts

Events, Networking & Community Engagement

• Lead the planning and delivery of fundraising, sponsorship, and networking events such as Street 6’s, Golf Day and other WCF events.
• Represent the Foundation at business forums, networking events, and community engagements
• Work with marketing and communications colleagues to maximise recognition of partners and sponsors.

Finance & Training

• Develop annual fundraising targets, manage budgets and pipelines.
• Developing future fundraising staff and providing training.

Impact Evaluation & Reporting

• Monitor fundraising performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
• Work with colleagues to monitor and evaluate programme outcomes.
• Produce regular reports for the Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and funding partners.
• Create impact reports for partners, funders, and stakeholders.
• Use data and insight to demonstrate social value and return on investment.
• Maintain accurate records using CRM and fundraising systems.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Excellent written communication, bid-writing and presentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify partnership opportunities.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Ability to analyse data and produce impact-focused reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Experience:
Essential
• Proven experience in fundraising, sponsorship, business development or partnership management
• Demonstrable track record of securing income from grants, trusts, corporate partnerships or sponsorships.
• Experience of preparing successful funding applications and proposals.
• Experience of reporting against fundraising targets and KPIs.
Desirable
• Experience working within sport, charities, community development or education sectors.
• Knowledge of the UK funding landscape and sports-based charitable programmes.
• Experience managing corporate sponsorship arrangements.
• Understanding of monitoring, evaluation and social impact measurement.
• Knowledge of cricket and the role sport can play in community development.

Qualifications:
The Job Holder will ideally have or work towards:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• A full clean current driving licence, and access to own transport.
• An up-to-date ECB DBS check.
