SALARY: £14.12 per hour including the holiday pay

LOCATION: Preston (Hyndburn). Occasional support may be required at other hubs within Lancashire area, as agreed with the line manager. Occasional support may be required at other hubs within the Greater Manchester & York, as agreed with the line manager.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new opportunity with a national charity for an Inclusive Outdoor Events Support Assistant / Sessional Worker who is friendly, supportive, ready to make a real difference and loves being outdoors and working with people.

The charity believe that cycling should be accessible to everyone. They help children and adults of all abilities experience the joy and freedom of cycling. As an Inclusive Outdoor Events Support Assistant / Sessional Worker you’ll play a key part in making that happen.

Ideally you can cycle. But if not, that is fine too. Working as an Inclusive Outdoor Events Support Assistant / Sessional Worker you will help set up the bikes and equipment, welcome participants and support individuals with diverse needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is enjoys helping people and loves working outdoors.

As a successful candidate you’ll be part of a team creating a warm, welcoming and empowering space.

DUTIES

You’ll support the safe and inclusive delivery of the cycling sessions at one of the hubs. Your day might involve:

Setting up bikes and equipment

Welcoming participants and creating a friendly atmosphere

Supporting individuals with diverse needs

Guiding and motivating riders

Looking after basic bike safety and maintenance (training provided)

Assisting with volunteers and logistics

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

You love helping people and creating positive experiences

You’re reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to learn

You’re comfortable working flexibly — indoors and outdoors

Desirable (but not essential)

Full UK driving licence (manual)

Ability to drive a van

Physical confidence with basic lifting/setup tasks

Ride Leader or First Aid qualifications

Providing logistical and operational support for events
