Lead Coach U16 Girls Academy JPL Organisation Weston-super-Mare AFC Salary Dependant on experience Location Weston-super-Mare Contract type (Part time) Closing date 22 June 2025 Job Description We are looking for an individual to manage and organise the under-16s squad for Weston-super-Mare AFC Girls Academy, working with players, parents, and opponents within the Junior Premier League.Main Duties & Responsibilities:-Collaborate with the Academy Director, Head of Women’s and Girls Football and Academy Secretary to oversee and monitor coaching at Weston-super-Mare AFC.-Work as part of the coaching team to ensure young players across all age groups reach their full potential, following the club’s Player Development Plan and philosophy.-Assess and track player performance, maintaining accurate records using the club’s preferred system.-Assist with match day preparations, including pitch setup.-Ensure that facilities are left in the condition they were found, including the pitch, surroundings, storage container, changing rooms, and bar.-Contribute to the scouting and recruitment process when necessary.-Participate in fundraising events and functions as required.-Help develop teaching and coaching resources.-Engage with parents through evening events, meetings, and maintain ongoing relationships with both parents and club officials.-Work alongside the club’s Welfare Officer to assist with pastoral and welfare duties.-Handle administrative responsibilities, including squad notifications (4 days before fixtures), match documents, session evaluations, match reports (to be uploaded to JPL by midnight on the fixture day), and prompt email responses.-Undertake other tasks as assigned by managementSkills & Competencies:UEFA C Coaching Award or higher.Enhanced DBS check through the FA.General Information:The successful candidate will adhere to the policies and procedures of Weston-super-Mare AFC at all times.
