Job Description: We are an established grassroots football competition committed to providing a positive, inclusive, and well-organised football experience for clubs, players, officials, and spectators. As we continue to develop, we are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Media Officer to help raise the profile of the competition and celebrate the achievements of our league and member clubs.

The Volunteer Media Officer will be responsible for managing and developing the competition's media presence across digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in sports media, communications, marketing, or content creation while making a valuable contribution to grassroots football.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the competition's social media channels.
Produce and publish engaging content including match results, fixtures, league tables, and competition updates.
Create graphics and promotional materials for competitions, events, and campaigns.
Write news articles, match reports, and feature stories.
Promote cup finals, representative fixtures, fundraising events, and league initiatives.
Capture and share photographs and video content where possible.
Work closely with clubs to source content and celebrate achievements across the competition.
Assist with the development of sponsorship and partnership opportunities through media exposure.
Maintain a positive and professional image of the competition at all times.
Person Specification

Enthusiasm for grassroots football.
Strong written communication skills.
Good knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable and delivers against agreed commitments
Knowledge of grassroots football structures and competitions.
