Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Academy at Watford Football Club. We are looking to recruit a PDP Physical Performance Coach to be a part of a forward-thinking team responsible for providing medical care for the under 18 players.

The successful candidates will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, and flexible to the requirements of the role and the business.

Applicants should ideally live locally in Watford, London Colney or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit.

You must have:
• BSc in Sport + Exercise Science or a sports related discipline
• FA First Aid and or Basic First Aid for Sport Qualification (EFAiF)
• FA Safeguarding Certificate
• Extensive experience of working in a sport science setting with elite young athletes
• Experience of working in a football academy setting
• Be able to work effectively in a team environment and operate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary support team
• Knowledge of Catapult GPS systems
• Knowledge of GymAware, Vald and Teambuildr software
• This role will have regular contact with children, and it is therefore required by law to have a DBS Enhanced Criminal Record Check with children’s barred list check
• Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role
• Understanding of the Clubs commitment to EDI & Safeguarding

You would ideally have, but not vital:
• MSc in Sports Science / Strength + Conditioning or a related field
• BASES accreditation or working towards chartered scientist status
• UKSCA accreditation or working towards (ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace ever changing environment
