We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding, equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) and safer working practice across our organisation.KEY RESPONSBILITIES:- Provide high quality physiotherapy to support professional and pathway players, with guidance and support from Lead Physiotherapists.- Work collaboratively with the rest of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).- Lead and oversee the physiotherapy support towards Hampshire pathway cricketers.- Work with Lead Physiotherapists, Senior Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and the Chief Medical Officer to update and report availability status of players to Head of Science and Medicine.- Where necessary, and as directed by the Head of Science and Medicine and Directors of Cricket, provide physiotherapy support to the men’s programme.- Line manage Pathway Physiotherapists and student Physiotherapists in their contribution to our pathway programmes, as well as their professional development.- Continuously develop injury prevention systems and practices and integrate these within the wider Sports Science and Medicine programme.- Continually seek to develop the Long-Term Athlete Development Model, ensuring alignment to current evidence-driven best practice and clinical/practical reasoning.- Ensure high standards of medical governance in collaboration with Lead Physiotherapists and Chief Medical Officer.- Actively participate in the Science and Medicine Review process.- Undertake appropriate professional development to keep abreast of best practice and current evidence-based research.PERSON SPECIFICATIONEssential- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)- Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy- At least 3 years experience of working independently as a qualified physiotherapist within musculoskeletal physiotherapy- Current advanced trauma management and emergency care accreditation (or ability to complete this in the near future if successful)- High standards of personal and professional integrity- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Full Driving Licence & vehicle- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service Check prior to commencement of employmentDesirable- Previous physiotherapy experience within a performance setting - Experience working with youth athletes and female athletesResponsible to:- Lead Physiotherapists- Head of Science and Medicine- Directors of CricketCONSIDERATIONSThe role is predominantly based at Utilita Bowl, with travel to other venues for training or match days, as required.Working hours are varied and there is an expectation that the role holder can be present for some evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the cricket schedule.
