Men’s Football Club - Development Team Coach/Manager Organisation University of Manchester Salary £2,600 per season - dependent on total number of fixtures required by leagues Location Armitage Sport Centre, Fallowfield, Manchester Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 22 August 2025 Job Description The post holder will deliver quality coaching, management, organising, delivering and monitoring of performance to the University of Manchester Men’s Football Club Development team. As we have a one club mentality and an Academy model, the role of Development Team Coach/Manager links to the progress and development of the wider club.Main Duties & Responsibilities -• Deliver an effective coaching programme (in line with our club curriculum & playing philosophy) that helps improve the performance and experience of Football club members through well planned, developmental and engaging training sessions. (Using club session plan proforma)• Plan and deliver an effective pre-season, including after the BUCS mid-season break in January• Support in the delivery of club trials & support fellow club coaches• Track and monitor player availability in 2 monthly cycles, so we can forecast and plan ahead • On matchdays, ensure excellent organisation and a professional approach gives our players the best possible preparation and experience (Using club match planning sheets)• Provide regular information & status reports, on team & individual performance & progress, to the Head Coach and other club coaches in our weekly coach meetings (usually online).• Support our one club mentality & Academy model through clear and supportive internal club pathways. The Development team connects with the Reserve team regularly, offering game time for Reserve team players when needed.
