The University of Liverpool is offering a unique opportunity for a coach who is passionate about Hockey and is seeking to continue our drive for excellence by working closely with the Club Committee and Sport Liverpool team.

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to improving performance and developing Hockey at all levels. You will have experience or empathy of working within a student environment.

Job Requirements

• To lead and deliver structured hockey coaching sessions to the Women’s 2nd team at Wyncote Sports ground, working with the Head Hockey coach to ensure cohesion in team plans and progress

• To take responsibility for team selection.

• To support the 3rd team on Wednesday match days.

• To provide feedback and development of club members.

• To assist in the recruitment of club members.

• To adhere to BUCS regulations.

• To be committed to professional development.

• To assist in the development of the club.

Playing Level of Teams

BUCS Northern 3A

Hours of work

24 Weeks to be worked september - April

4 per week broken down as follows:

Training: 4 hours

Plus Wednesday match support as required (attendance at all matches is desirable)

Travel to away matches is paid at a standard hourly payment of £12.10.

Required Qualifications

UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent) with experience of working with young adults.

Experience of playing Hockey to a high level is desirable.

You must have adequate Insurance cover for this role.
