Cambridge University Ladies Netball Club Coach Organisation University of Cambridge Sports Service Salary £25.00 - £30.00 per hour Location Cambridge Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 31 August 2026 Job Description We are seeking a passionate and experienced Netball Coach to lead and develop our Cambridge University Ladies Netball Club. We are a club of around 60 players across five teams (4 in BUCS) - including athletes competing at NPL franchise and national level - and we have won the Oxford Varsity Match three of the past four years. This is a rare chance to coach high-calibre athletes in a genuinely ambitious environment, with real influence over how our performance programme develops.You will plan and deliver three weekly training sessions (Monday 7–10pm, Friday 4–6pm, Sunday 8–10am), attend home BUCS fixtures on Wednesday afternoons where possible, and be involved in team and captain selection at the start of the season. Sessions run for 2–3 hours each and you will work alongside our two other coaches.Day-to-day, you will be expected to:Design and deliver structured sessions for players across a range of skill levels.Develop individual and team performance - technical, tactical, and physical conditioning.Use match and performance data to inform and adjust your coaching approach.Prepare teams for BUCS fixtures, cup matches, and Varsity.Work closely with the club captain and our two other coaches on selection and strategy.Maintain a safe, inclusive training environment in line with safeguarding and club policy.Provide mentorship and motivation to foster a positive and disciplined training culture.Person Specification / Qualifications:Level 2 coaching qualification or above (higher preferred).Meaningful coaching or playing experience at a competitive level.Strong communication and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of athletes.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a coaching team.What We Offer: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.The chance to coach athletes on national and super league pathways.Involvement in one of university sport’s most high-profile fixtures - the annual Varsity Match against Oxford.A genuine say in shaping the club’s performance direction.A supportive club structure with a regular point of contact and full induction.A platform to grow your coaching profile in a well-connected Cambridge sporting community.
