The UK Sports Institute have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Innovation Consultant – Data on a Full time basis

A snapshot of the role…

Performance & Innovation (P&I) Consultants work closely with sports to refine performance requirements into clear, answerable performance questions and well-scoped projects that drive performance impact. They identify performance gaps and priorities where innovation, technical expertise and project delivery can make a meaningful difference, with this role specialising in the use of data science to address performance challenges.

The role is responsible for proactively developing intelligence across the system, identifying opportunities for support, and building strong networks of technical and innovation experts. P&I Consultants also work with specialists from outside sport, translating external knowledge and expertise into the elite sport environment to create performance change.

Combining strong consultancy skills with specialist data science expertise, the post holder helps sports maximise the impact of performance data on athlete performance and decision-making through the design and leadership of data-focused projects. Drawing on expertise across data science, analytics, AI and digital technologies, they deliver innovative, performance-focused solutions. The role requires regular engagement with sports in training and competition environments.
