Working with the sports and events we fund, DCMS, and our partner organisations across the UK high-performance system, we are building on 25 years of ever-growing success to write the UK’s next chapter for Olympic and Paralympic sport.About the role:As the EURO 2028 Non‑Host City Grant Programme Manager, you’ll play a key role in one of the UK’s most significant major events of the decade. UEFA EURO 2028 will be staged across the UK & Ireland, and this role exists to ensure the benefits of the tournament reach far beyond the cities hosting matches.You’ll design and deliver a national grant programme to spread tournament benefits to places in England that are not hosting matches. You’ll manage the programme end‑to‑end, from finalising its design and launching applications, through to funding agreements, monitoring, assurance and close‑down. You’ll design and oversee fair, transparent selection processes, manage relationships with applicants and recipients, and ensure strong governance, value for money and meaningful social impact.Working closely with DCMS, local partners and colleagues across UK Sport, you’ll help ensure this programme contributes to the largest‑ever UEFA EURO community programme, spreading excitement, opportunity and legacy across communities nationwide.Who will I be working with?You’ll work closely with the EURO 2028 Senior Advisor (Host Cities), the wider UK Sport EURO 2028 team, DCMS, local authorities, delivery partners and community stakeholders across England.About youYou’re an experienced programme or project manager who thrives in complex, time bound environments and enjoys bringing ambitious programmes to life. You bring strong experience designing and delivering grant funding programmes, including managing application processes, funding agreements, assurance and reporting. You’re confident analysing qualitative and quantitative information, forming sound judgements and making decisions with integrity. You build strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and are comfortable working autonomously while contributing positively to a wider team.
