About the Role

As a Mega Events Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious sporting events, the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes 2027. You’ll manage UK Sport’s investment into the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established for the event, ensuring funding is used effectively, transparently, and strategically. This includes overseeing financial assurance, supporting governance, and representing UK Sport across event subgroups to ensure alignment with national ambitions and best practice.

Beyond this flagship event, you’ll contribute to UK Sport’s broader Mega Events strategy, offering expert advice on feasibility, budgets, benefit assessments, and commercial arrangements for future hosting opportunities. You’ll work closely with partners across government, sport, and international stakeholders, helping shape the UK’s global reputation for delivering impactful, inclusive, and world-class sporting experiences.

This is a Fixed Term contract until 31 March 2028.

About You

You’re a confident and collaborative professional with experience in managing public investment and delivering major events. You bring strong financial literacy, strategic thinking, and a practical approach to problem-solving. You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders, navigating complex partnerships, and adapting in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have a passion for sport, a commitment to public value, and a drive to make live sport matter.
