About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited

UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.

About UEFA EURO 2028

UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large-scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.

The Role

As HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the people who will bring UEFA EURO 2028 to life. You’ll lead the delivery of core HR processes for all UK&I 2028 employees, including responsibility for maintaining the HR system, issuing contracts, managing onboarding and payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with employment law.

You’ll also provide trusted advice to employees and people managers, helping to create an inclusive, high-performing culture where everyone can thrive. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this role will be instrumental in shaping the employee experience, supporting wellbeing and engagement, and embedding our values: Embrace the Opportunity, Achieve Excellence, and Thrive Together.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering all core HR processes, from issuing contracts and onboarding new joiners to preparing payroll and managing HR records.
• Maintaining the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and supporting business users with reporting and queries.
• Providing HR advisory support to employees and coaching line managers on best practice.
• Supporting employee relations cases and assisting with compliance, wellbeing, and occupational health provision.
• Driving inclusion across all people processes and helping to deliver employee engagement and EDI initiatives.
• Coordinating the Employee Consultation Forum and supporting effective employee communication.
• Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in all HR activities.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and skills:

• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and right-to-work legislation
• Experience delivering core HR processes, including contracts, onboarding, payroll, and data management
• Strong HR systems experience and confident Excel skills
• Proven ability to provide HR advice and manage employee relations cases
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Location & Working Pattern

Based at Wembley Stadium, with travel across the UK & Ireland as required.

2026: 3 days/week onsite
2027: 3–4 days/week onsite
2028: Full-time onsite during tournament delivery
