Working on behalf of the five Football Associations, we collaborate closely with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to ensure the tournament is delivered safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.About UEFA EURO 2028The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, it will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing significant operational scale and requiring close coordination between host cities, stadiums, government partners and UEFA.The RoleDrive the integration of Host City planning across UK & Ireland 2028 Limited (the Local Organising Company for UEFA EURO 2028) functional areas to support the delivery of a world-class tournament experience for ticket holders, fans and communities. Working within the Host City team, this role will ensure the coordination of all requirements which have an interdependency on operations planned and delivered by each Host City. This role will work closely with Host City Managers and the Programme Management Office to scope and run the integrated planning process, ensuring clear outcomes at all stages.What you’ll be doingOperational Planning • Lead the integration of Host City operational planning across UK&I 2028 functions, ensuring alignment with UEFA requirements and Host City plans (designed and delivered by Host Cities). • Build effective relationships with all internal UK&I 2028 functions who have a dependency on Host City operations including, Mobility, Safety & Security and Tournament Operations. • Lead a comprehensive integrated planning process which is clearly communicated to all functions and brings together the complexities of planning inputs and outputs. • Map and manage cross-function dependencies. • Support in the mitigation and resolution of cross-functional risks and issues where these are critical to successful delivery. • Create high-quality outputs from the Integrated Planning process which teams can utilise to progress detailed operational planning. • Lead on the production of documentation for key meetings as required. Project management • Be an expert in the UEFA’s EURO 2028 Programme Management Tool and be responsible for effective use of the Tool in support of integrated Host City planning • Work closely with Host City Managers to ensure the EURO 2028 PMO tool is updated accurately and provides the ‘single source of truth’ for Host City Planning. • Ensure all PMO documentation relating to Host City delivery is accurate and reflects the overall status of planning and progress • Work with the Programme Management Office to ensure all relevant monitoring and reporting processes are followed • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.
