About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for planning and delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. Working on behalf of the five Football Associations, we collaborate closely with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to ensure the tournament is delivered safely, inclusively and to world-class standards. About UEFA EURO 2028 The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, it will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing significant operational scale and requiring close coordination between host cities, stadiums, government partners and UEFA. The Role UEFA EURO 2028 will be one of the largest and most complex sporting events ever delivered across the UK & Ireland. Success won’t happen by accident. It will be built through disciplined planning, coordinated testing and intelligent assurance. As Readiness Manager, you will lead the programme that ensures we are truly ready. The aim of the EURO 2028 Readiness Programme is to create a fully integrated readiness programme that prepares all stakeholders to deliver the best ever EURO Tournament. This role will manage the design and delivery of a Readiness Concept for UK&I 2028 across the partnership. This includes implementing an exercise and simulation programme, coordinating a testing programme, and rolling out an assurance programme across 9 stadiums, 8 cities and 4 nations. You will also have a responsibility for establishing the Tournament Steering approach, including the development of C3i structures, Tournament reporting and the operating model for the EURO 2028 Tournament Hub. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role. You will work across delivery partners, UEFA and multiple jurisdictions to ensure lessons are captured, risks are understood and controls are embedded well before tournament time. Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management and assurance. Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and delivery partners. Advanced report writing and presentation skills. The ability to translate complexity into clear, structured plans. Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively. Experience of working within a Tournament Hub, Main Operations Centre or equivalent environment is advantageous but not essential. Where is the role based? Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however, depending on your role, you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations. Because we are an event delivery organisation, time together in person is essential for effective planning and collaboration. In 2026, most colleagues work at least three days a week from Wembley. In 2027, this will increase to 3–4 days a week as operations intensify. In 2028, during tournament delivery, full-time onsite working will be required.
