Job Description
Company: TRI-FIT Athletic

Employment: Part-time, initially approximately 2 days per week | Office-based
Salary: Competitive, pro-rata and dependent on experience

About TRI-FIT

TRI-FIT is an independent British performance sports brand specialising in premium triathlon and endurance apparel and equipment.

Alongside our core product collections, TRI-FIT Custom Lab creates bespoke performance sportswear for individual athletes, clubs and teams.

We're now looking for someone creative, organised and ambitious to help us develop Custom Lab into a much bigger part of the business.

The opportunity

We're looking for a Custom Lab Coordinator & Designer who can combine strong design skills with excellent customer communication, organisation and a proactive approach to developing the business.

This isn't simply a graphic design position.

You'll manage customer projects from the initial conversation through design, approval and production, creating bespoke tri-suits and teamwear that will be worn and raced by athletes around the world.

You'll also help us develop our wider custom sportswear offering, build out our product catalogue and pricing, improve the Custom Lab website and identify opportunities to grow this part of TRI-FIT.

For the right person, there's genuine scope for the role and responsibilities to expand as Custom Lab grows.

Key responsibilities

Customer & project management

Communicate directly with customers and develop clear design briefs.

Manage customer projects from initial enquiry through to production.

Maintain excellent communication and keep customers updated.

Coordinate revisions, approvals, deadlines and production requirements.

Liaise with our manufacturing partners.

Design

Create bespoke tri-suit, cycling and running apparel designs.

Develop original concepts, colourways, graphics and layouts.

Prepare garment presentations and visualisations.

Produce accurate, print-ready artwork for sublimation manufacturing.

Check logos, names, colours and artwork before production.

Custom Lab development

Help expand our custom teamwear offering.

Develop product catalogues, pricing structures and design templates.

Help build and improve the Custom Lab website experience.

Create project galleries and case studies.

Identify ways to improve processes, customer experience and commercial opportunities.

About you

We're open-minded about your background and experience.

You could be an exceptional recent graduate, an early-career designer or someone with several years of relevant experience.

What matters most is your combination of creativity, organisation, communication and initiative.

You'll need:

Strong graphic-design skills.

Confidence with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or equivalent professional software.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong organisational and project management ability.

Clear, confident and professional customer communication.

The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

A proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Experience with sportswear, sublimation printing, garment templates, 3D visualisation or endurance sport would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Organisation and communication are every bit as important to us as design ability.

A role with room to grow

This position will initially be approximately two days per week, based at our Wetherby HQ.

However, we're deliberately looking for someone who could grow with Custom Lab.

As the business develops, there's genuine potential for the number of days, responsibilities and ownership of the role to increase.

How to apply

Please apply through the TRI-FIT Careers page:
