Location: Sale Leisure Centre

Salary

£12.70 per hour for administrative duties
£16.00 per hour for swimming teaching

Working Hours

18 hours per week allocated to administration
12 hours per week allocated to teaching
Total: 30 hours per week

As a Swimming Administrator and Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our swimming programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

Manage all aspects of your schedule, including diary planning and class coordination.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date individual records of swimmer progress and achievements.
Coordinate the distribution of awards and recognitions in line with swimmer milestones.
Liaise with teachers and parents to organise classes and ensure smooth communication.
Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met through effective planning and documentation.
Deliver structured swimming lessons to a wide range of learners, including school groups, adult participants, and junior community members.
Assess swimmers’ abilities and progress using the agreed Swim Well criteria.

To thrive in this role of Swimming Administrator and Teacher, you’ll need to be organised, personable, and confident in both administrative and teaching environments. You should have:

Level 1 & 2 Swim England Swimming Teacher qualifications (essential for covering lessons when needed)
Experience providing administrative support to a management team
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
A warm, approachable personality and the confidence to work with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and contractors
