The Role
Regularly report on the most applicable emerging talent and First Team target players on video to generate a consistent stream of new knowledge relating to their respective performance levels.
Make contextualised & evidence-based assessments on players that contribute to the club’s overarching recruitment strategy.
Liaise with the Lead Recruitment Analyst to assist with tasks involved in building player profiles.
Attend live games in addition to video scouting where feasible and report on players.
The role will be based at the Tottenham Hotspur Training Centre but it will also involve some travel.

About You
Scout both individual players and pre-determined teams on video using bespoke Tottenham Hotspur FC scouting templates on Opta Pro Hub.
Make holistic and evidence-based recommendations regarding potential target players in line with our style of play & what we have currently in the First Team & U21 squads.
Liaise with the Lead Recruitment Analyst and Lead Scouting Insights Analyst to understand & prioritise the most applicable emerging talent cases prior to assessing them in strategically selected games on video initially.
Assist with the generation of position specific videos of shortlisted first team &/or emerging talent target players.
Attend live games, where feasible, to assess players and report on them using bespoke scouting templates on Opta Pro Hub which are specific to the recruitment needs of Tottenham Hotspur Football club.
Support the process of compiling comprehensive player profiles & contribute meaningfully throughout the scouting process (identification, assessment & recommendation), completing any ad-hoc tasks that are required (such as compiling presentations or conducting research projects on players under consideration).
Be willing to work unsociable hours to ensure that the highest quality of work is maintained during critical times of the season (i.e. during & in the build-up to a transfer window).

What you will bring
IT literate and has significant experience of using scouting systems such as Opta Pro Hub and Wyscout.
Previous experience of working in a technical scout role (or equivalent) at a professional football club (2 years or more).
Willingness & inquisitiveness to generate knowledge relating to a player’s profile from several different data entry points.
Strong work ethic and proactive in prioritising the most necessary tasks in relation to the specific scouting/recruitment demands at that time.
Enthusiasm to learn new skills while on the job to not only assist in improving the process of presenting a player to the club’s key stakeholders but to also develop themselves as a practitioner.
Team player, collaborative & open-minded to adopting a holistic approach to scouting & player assessment.
Comfortable working evenings & weekends as it is often required.
