Job Description
The Tigers Trust is looking to recruit a Head of Facilities to join its Senior Leadership Team.

The role will be the main contact and lead officer for the facility redevelopment planning and refurbishment, ensuring the facility is able to adapt to future use as the Trust grows. They will also oversee the management, maintenance, compliance, environmental sustainability, and development of the Tigers Trust Arena.

This role will also have responsibility as a Duty Manager for the Tigers Trust Arena to ensure smooth staffing and consistent operation, be the Premise License Holder and lead on our environmental sustainability efforts.

Key accountabilities of the role:

Planning Infrastructure Improvement

* To lead the Facility Development Working Group in developing robust plans for infrastructure changes that encourage new or additional use.
* To negotiate with the landlord when work is required in line with the existing lease
* To identify and apply for grants and funds to assist with the costs associated with planned improvements.
* To act as a point of contact for any changes to premises/estates prior to changes being made.
* To co-ordinate any planning requests with relevant bodies

Facility Management

* To oversee scheduled and reactive maintenance relating to the Tigers Trust Arena. Including obtaining quotes and tenders for required jobs, exercising due diligence, working within budgets and time constraints, and liaising with external tradespersons and contractors.
* Overseeing and managing relationships with contractors on site.
* To have oversight of the lease with Hull City Football Club and Stadium Management Company (SMC)
* To liaise with insurers in the case of reporting incidents and processing premises related claims.
* To act as Duty Manager on rotation with the Arena Programme Manager to ensure the building is appropriately staffed throughout the week.

Compliance to Health & Safety

* To ensure all contractors have the required insurance, risk assessments and DBS’s in place before commencing work
* To undertake premises risk assessments and support staff in implementing the recommendations
* To oversee Fire Risk Assessments, monitoring and implementing remedial works as required
* To implement updated health and safety compliance policies and procedures.
* To action recommendations made in the Health and Safety Audit

Premise License Holder

* To ensure full compliance with the terms of the Premises License under the Licensing Act 2003 and to uphold the licensing objectives: prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm.
* To ensure the premises operates within the conditions set out in the Premises License
* Adhere to all relevant licensing laws and local authority guidelines
Ensure all alcohol sales are made by or under the authority of the Personal License Holder
* Prevent underage sales and the sale of alcohol to intoxicated individuals
* Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities, including the Licensing Officer, Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue, and Environmental Health

Policies and Procedures

* To understand, comply with, and implement relevant Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures in performing the duties of the post.
* To understand, comply with, and implement existing equal opportunities and safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures in performing the duties of the post.
* To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
* To ensure that all relevant Tigers Trust policies, procedures and working practices are fully adhered to at all times

Environmental Sustainability

* To be the strategic lead on environmental sustainability as part of the Trusts Capability Code of Practice compliance.
* To lead the Tigers Trust Environmental Sustainability Group, working with staff across the organisation to identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and practices both at Tigers Trust Arena and the wider work of the Trust.

Training and Development, Leading Others

* To be responsible for training new and existing Tigers Trust staff in relevant health and safety skills including manual handling.
* To undertake regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews with your direct reports and line manager.
