Rugby League Coach for UoM Sport Men's 1st Team Organisation The University of Manchester Salary Pay range £2,400 - £3,500 per season - dependant on attendance at away and cup/trophy fixtures Location Armitage Sports Centre, Fallowfield, Manchester Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 11 July 2025 Job Description The post holder will deliver quality coaching, management, organising, delivering, and monitoring performance to the University of Manchester’s Men’s Rugby League Club and increase theirperformance in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). This role will primarily be responsible for leading the 1st team from the club who play at the performance level in the UoM Sport Pathway and take part in BUCS league games between October and March and are entered in the BUCS cup competition.Main Duties & Responsibilities• Deliver an effective coaching programme that helps improve the performance and experience of playing members.• Plan and deliver an effective pre-season in September and after the mid-season break in January.• Lead sessions and oversee all coaching of the 1st team of the club including delegation tasks to additional coaches where appropriate.• Attend and manage BUCS fixtures of the 1st team or conduct training in the event of no fixture.• Lead the club with input from team captain (and other coaches where appropriate) to select playing squad and maintain a transparent selection processes and pathways between squads.
