Salary: £54,000-60,000 depending on experience
Location: Remote with a requirement for regular UK travel to clubs and RPA team meetings (varied locations)

Job Description: The RPA is looking to appoint a Head of Men’s Rugby to elevate our work within the elite men’s game.

This is a new position and will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement, strengthening player representation, and enhancing our influence across the professional rugby landscape.

Key Responsibilities
* Co-create and deliver an engagement strategy to grow and retain men’s player membership.
* Visit PREM clubs throughout the season to promote RPA values, objectives, and benefits.
* Create and manage an engagement calendar for domestic and international men’s player groups.
* Identify key influencers and maintain ongoing engagement to drive feedback and insight.
* Maintain expert knowledge of the elite men’s training and playing environment.
* Support insight gathering to strengthen player welfare and representation.
* Represent RPA members on relevant boards, forums, and working groups.
* Act as a point of contact for men’s rugby welfare matters alongside the Player Welfare Director.
* Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the men’s game.
* Collaborate with Communications dept. to deliver high‑quality, engaging content for members and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
*Strong credibility and gravitas within elite men’s Rugby Union.
* In‑depth understanding of the elite men’s training and playing environment.
* Proven experience working in an elite sporting environment and managing varied stakeholder groups.
* Excellent communication, public speaking, and organisational skills.
* Ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach within a small team.
* Creative mindset with the ability to spot and develop new opportunities.
* Agile and adaptable, with the ability to respond to evolving demands.
* A strong existing rugby network and the ability to build new relationships internally and externally.
