Associate Centre Physiotherapist Organisation The Royal Ballet School Salary £300 per day Location Newcastle Associate Centre (Dance City, Temple St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4BR) Contract type Closing date 29 May 2026 Job Description The Physiotherapist will be responsible for visiting their designated Associate Centre, as per their agreed contract, and providing Physiotherapy assessment and advice, as required, to the Associate students. They will be required to communicate effectively with Associate students, parents and teachers regarding healthcare matters, as well as report directly to the Training and Access Healthcare Lead. MAIN DUTIES: - Assessment and advice for Associate students’ injuries and dance-related healthcare concerns - Deliver group-based conditioning exercises, as needed by the Associate teacher or Training and Access Healthcare Lead - Deliver group-based education on health-related topics, as needed by the Associate Teacher or Training and Access Healthcare Lead - Provide verbal and/or written feedback of your assessment to Associate Teachers, students and parents and Training and Access Healthcare Lead - Signpost Associate parents and teachers to appropriate healthcare practitioners in the local area, as needed.PERSON SPECIFICATION: Essential Criteria: - A BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from a reputable institution including registration with HCPC and CSP - Substantial professional practice in physiotherapy specialising in musculoskeletal/sport Physiotherapy - Solid experience in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries in a high performance or elite sport environment - Proven rehabilitation competency in sport and/or dance with the ability to implement innovative ideas - Commitment to maintaining own professional development - Experience of working with young people - Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary healthcare service - Good verbal, numeric, IT and written communication skills - Good organisational, time-management and administrative skills - Passionate about the delivery of an exceptional healthcare service to gifted and talented young people and the ability to support a high performance culture and team ethic - Empathy with the aims and ethos of the School - Evidence of professional development with an emphasis on high performance sport, dance or closely related disciplines - Available for weekend working. Desirable Criteria: - A strong appreciation of dance or ballet as an art form. - Pilates qualification - Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service.
