The Role:
To be responsible for leading and developing the Equipment Technology/Rules of Golf education for the PGA National Training Academy’s education programmes including the AGMS, FdSc, Dip HE, the PGA Advanced Diploma and inputting into the Member Education Programme. To provide a transitionary link from compulsory education, to graduation, Class A and to Class AA membership through the member education opportunities.

To carry out the following duties:
• To design, develop, deliver, assess and review all learning material resources for Equipment Technology, Custom Fitting and Rules of Golf for the AGMS and FdSc and Dip HE programmes.
• To prepare all assessment materials including assignments and examinations for the above.
• To develop study material, assignments and marking schemes for ET/Custom Fitting on the Member Education Programme.
• To develop a career pathway link for newly qualified members to assist the transition from compulsory education to lifelong learning as newly qualified Class A members to Class AA membership.
• Carry out research into Equipment Technology aspects of the golf business and new programmes and initiatives in Equipment Technology and Custom Fitting and Rules of Golf.
• Design and prepare the workshop to provide the best learning environment possible, including the stocking of materials and resources.
• Ensure high standards are maintained of Equipment Technology & Rules Tutors and Assessors.
• To attend, organise and chair a range of different meetings, including mentors, tutors, examiners and markers.
• To be responsible for the selection and training of new tutors, mentors and markers for Equipment Technology.

Role Requirements: Education/Qualifications/Key Competences/Personal Profile:
Educated to at least Class AA PGA status (ideally); Experienced in design, development and evaluation of a range of teaching material, writing and marking assessments up to graduate level; Experience in delivering lectures/seminars/workshops using a range of teaching styles; Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint; Experience in developing e-learning material; Excellent knowledge of the game of golf; Experience of educational systems and procedures (desirable); Experience of running and setting-up repair workshops (desirable).
Excellent oral & written communication skills; ability to work on own, or part of a team; be flexible to meet deadlines with excellent organisational and planning skills, communication and presentation skills; understands the needs of a membership-orientated organisation.
