The Role:
This is a key management role, involving representation of The PGA at some golf events. Assisting to deliver our strategic tournament priorities, project coordination, scenario planning, financial modelling, analysis, interpretation and coordination of the strategic operational delivery framework. Co-ordinate the development and running of our Tournament Forum and supporting County tournament activities. The role includes:
• Strategic project coordination/management
 Developing action plans, scoping, risk assessment/mitigation around the vision and objectives
 Creation of strategies for communications and Rules of Golf education
• Tournament Operations:
 Working with senior staff to plan and optimise resources
 Developing systems and processes to increase efficiency whilst ensuring delivery of various obligations (commercial, legislative, etc)
 Development of post-event reporting, evaluation and analysis
• Management of County activities:
 As the central point of contact for Counties, coordinate the Tournament Forum meetings and associated administration
 Manage County communications, data and development of County use of BlueGolf
 Liaise with Counties to develop a schedule of playing opportunities

Role Requirements: Education/Qualifications/Key Competences/Personal Profile:
 Thorough understanding of tournament and County activities, planning and execution
 Being financially and commercially astute with corporate awareness, experience in financial aspects of tournaments and relevant legislation with a good understanding of the relationships, political and cultural landscape that influences golf
 Detailed knowledge of the Rules of Golf and an understanding of The PGA’s constitution, regulations and operational function
 Highly organised, analytical and focused with demonstrable experience of analysing data and acting on results
 Teamworking, problem solving, decision making with ability to manage multiple projects
 Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, an organised self-starter.
 Highly motivated to continuously improve standards and methods of working
 Competent and knowledgeable player of golf and able to travel, spending periods of time away from home
Being able to travel whilst spending long periods of time away from home is a must
