Job Description
The Role

Women's Super League Football Limited is seeking a Digital Platforms & Content Manager to join its Content Team. The role will be responsible for curating and publishing engaging digital content across our website and mobile app, supporting fan engagement efforts for the Barclays WSL, Barclays WSL2, and the Subway Women's League Cup.

The Digital Platforms Producer will oversee content curation, publishing, personalisation, and automation across WSL Football's digital platforms. This role will sit within the broader MarComms team and will report into our Senior Content Manager.



The Organisation

Women's Super League Football governs the top two tiers of women's professional football in England. They are an independent company solely dedicated to advancing women's football, transforming the game and society at large.

Imagine a future where young girls are inspired by elite female athletes, fan experiences are inclusive and welcoming, and women's football drives societal change. The WSL Football leagues represent the pinnacle of domestic women's club football, featuring globally recognised stars who are shaping culture, attracting millions of new fans, and driving record-breaking attendances.



The Location

This role will operate on a hybrid working model, working in line with the football calendar. There will be 2 days per week based at the WSL Football office in Farringdon, Central London, and 3 days working from home. During the football season, weekend working will be required when fixtures are taking place across the Barclays WSL, Barclays WSL2 and Subway Women's League Cup. Days off will be taken during the week (5 days working per week, 2 days off).



What will you be doing?

Manage the content programming and personalisation to curate the storytelling of our digital platforms (web, app and WhatsApp).
Maintain a content calendar in coordination with the social and marketing teams.
Oversee production of editorial, short-form, long-form videos, and vertical stories for web and app.
Collaborate with the wider content team to configure weekly gamification and develop innovative fan-focused gaming experiences.
Optimise content automation processes.
Implement SEO best practices across written and multimedia content.
Occasionally work with additional freelance resource to assist you on match weekends.
Analyse performance data using tools like Google Analytics and provide regular insights and recommendations to optimise platform performance.
Execute additional tasks as required to meet Women's Super League Football's changing priorities.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.
As part of the Women's Super League Football's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.


What are we looking for?



Essential for the role:

Proven experience managing, planning and publishing content across digital platforms.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
Collaborative team-player who can work with colleagues to complete tasks at a fast-pace.
Creative mindset and passion for fan engagement.
Familiarity with SEO principles, analytics tools and digital performance metrics.


Beneficial to have:

Passion for and good knowledge of women's professional football.
Previous experience in sports, media, or related digital content roles.
