Learning Evaluation Lead (12-Month FTC) Organisation The Football Association Salary Competitive Location Burton-Upon-Trent Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 18 June 2025 Job Description The Football Association has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Evaluation Lead to join on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.The Learning Evaluation Lead is responsible for designing and implementing learning evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of learning solutions, and to drive a customer centric mentality within the team. The role ensures that learning initiatives are impactful, aligned with business goals, and continuously optimised to enhance the learner experience.What will you be doing?- Lead the design, implementation, and management of learning evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning solutions on learning experiences.- Drive the continuous improvement of learning evaluation processes, providing expertise, advice, and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders to ensure best practices in learning evaluation are followed.- Develop and implement advanced evaluation tools and methodologies to monitor, measure, and analyse the success of learning initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver measurable results.- Collaborate with colleagues to identify key insights necessary for assessing the impact of learning interventions, ensuring evaluation is integrated into the learning experience design from the outset.- Leverage market intelligence, performance data, and industry benchmarking to continuously refine and improve learning solutions, ensuring they are competitive and innovative within the industry.- Provide expert evaluation support to the learning and innovation team, facilitating iterative development and improvements based on data-driven insights and learner feedback.- Lead the review and analysis of learning solutions, utilising metrics, learner feedback, and performance data to make actionable recommendations for improving learning outcomes, learner engagement, and overall program success.- Champion the use of evidence-based insights and evaluation methods to enhance the learner experience, ensuring that learning interventions are impactful, scalable, and aligned with organisational goals.- Work closely with colleagues across strategy, insight, programme management and quality assurance to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to improvement across the division.- Execute additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained. What are we looking for? Essential for the role:- Strong understanding of designing, implementing, and managing learning evaluation frameworks and methodologies.- Knowledge of learning theories, including best practices in evaluation (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model, ROI).- Knowledge of evidence-based evaluation methods and their application in improving learner experiences.- Understanding of how to align learning evaluations with broader organisational goals.- Proven experience leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning evaluation frameworks.- Experience developing and implementing advanced tools for monitoring and measuring the success of learning initiatives.- Demonstrated experience integrating evaluation methods into learning design processes.- Experience utilising learner feedback, performance data, and metrics to make actionable recommendations.- Strong analytical skills for evaluating the success of learning initiatives and identifying areas for improvement.- Strong collaboration skills for working with internal teams and stakeholders to integrate evaluation into the learning process.- Ability to interpret performance data and feedback to drive improvements in learning solutions. Beneficial to have:- Understanding of competitive trends, innovations, and industry benchmarking in learning and development.- Experience leading evaluations for large or complex learning programs, including global initiatives.- Experience in managing change and driving iterative improvements in learning evaluation.- Experience of a sporting organisation / association - Familiarity with learning management systems, analytics platforms, and evaluation software.
